Lymphatic Therapy
Optimize your body’s natural detoxification system. Lymphatic therapy is a gentle, specialized approach designed to reduce inflammation, boost immune function, and support overall systemic health.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, specialized massage technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system and encourage the natural drainage of lymph fluid away from congested tissues. Performed by a certified lymphedema therapist, MLD uses light, rhythmic, skin-stretching strokes to redirect lymph flow toward healthy lymph nodes, reducing swelling, discomfort, and heaviness associated with lymphedema. MLD is a core component of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) and is tailored to each patient's specific lymphatic presentation.
Detoxification
Facilitates the removal of toxins and cellular waste for a clearer, lighter feeling.
Swelling Reduction
Effectively manages lymphedema and reduces inflammation following surgery or injury.
Support Through Oncology
Navigating cancer treatment requires more than clinical expertise—it demands empathy and a specialized approach to physical recovery. Our oncology-focused physical therapy addresses the unique challenges of pain, cancer-related fatigue, and functional limitations. We work alongside you during and after treatment to restore strength, improve mobility, and enhance your overall quality of life through evidence-based, compassionate care.
Axillary Cording
Axillary web syndrome, commonly known as cording, is a condition that can develop following breast cancer surgery, including mastectomy, lumpectomy, or axillary lymph node dissection. It presents as tight, rope-like bands of tissue beneath the skin of the inner arm, armpit, or chest wall that restrict shoulder range of motion and cause pain. Physical therapy for cording combines specialized soft tissue mobilization, gentle stretching, manual therapy techniques, and targeted exercises to break down the webbing, restore mobility, and reduce discomfort so patients can return to daily activities and continue cancer care without interruption.
An Integrative Approach to Long-Term Wellness
Dry Needling with Soft Tissue Mobilization
Dry needling is a skilled intervention that uses a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscles, and connective tissues. This technique is used to manage neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. By targeting trigger points — hyperirritable spots within taut bands of muscle — dry needling helps reduce muscle tension, decrease pain, and restore normal movement patterns. It is often integrated with other physical therapy treatments to optimize outcomes.
Manual Lymph Drainage- Post Partem
Postpartum Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, nurturing treatment designed to support recovery following vaginal delivery or cesarean section. Pregnancy and childbirth place significant demands on the body's circulatory and lymphatic systems, often resulting in swelling of the legs, ankles, abdomen, and perineum that can persist or worsen in the days following delivery. MLD uses light, rhythmic strokes to stimulate lymphatic flow, reduce postpartum edema, ease tissue congestion, and promote overall healing and comfort. For patients recovering from a C-section, MLD is also used to support incision healing and reduce early scar tissue formation. Treatment is carefully adapted to each patient's delivery method, healing stage, and comfort level.
